The North York Moors National Park Authority is the local planning authority for the North York Moors National Park. This is an important means of helping it achieve its two statutory purposes by ensuring development conserves the National Park's special qualities and enables the public to enjoy these, whilst at the same time providing for the needs of people who live and work in the Park. This site provides details of planning controls and advice for individual projects. You can dqonlaod planning application forms and make online applications form this site. If you want to know more about the planning system generally please read more. Click here to go to the North York National Park website planning pages.
If you want to know more about the planning system generally, there is now a national Planning Advice online service available at the National Planning Portal website |
